Make an event visible on your IR site (Q4 Studio)

Applies to: Q4 Studio → Events & Webcasts, IR Website CMS
Goal: Your event shows up on the Events page and (optionally) the homepage module.

Quick checklist (most issues are here)

• ✅ Status = Published (not Draft)

• ✅ Show on site = On

• ✅ Start/End date & timezone are correct (event is upcoming; not in the past in site timezone)

• ✅ Category/Tags match your Events page or Homepage module filters

• ✅ Featured is set if your homepage module only shows featured events

• ✅ Republish page (Events page and/or homepage) and clear cache

Step-by-step

1. Open the event
   Q4 Studio → Events & Webcasts → select your event.

2. Publish & display settings

   • Set Status = Published.

   • Toggle Show on site = On.

   • Confirm Event URL points to your production site (not staging).

3. Dates & timezone

   • Set Start (date/time) and End in the site’s timezone (IR site header usually shows this).

   • If the start time is in the past (in site TZ), the event may drop off “Upcoming.”

4. Categorize correctly

   • Choose a Category that your Events page lists (e.g., Earnings Call).

   • Add Tags only if your site filters by tags.

5. Featured (if using a Featured Events module)

   • Enable Featured on the event if your homepage module is configured to “Show featured only.”

6. Republish the pages

   • In IR Website CMS, republish the Events page.

   • If you changed Featured or categories, republish the Homepage.

   • Wait ~2–5 minutes for CDN propagation (timing varies by site).

7. Clear cache (if needed)

   • In CMS, use Purge/Refresh cache for the Events and Homepage routes, or ask your web admin to purge the CDN for those paths.

Troubleshooting

• Event page loads, but it’s missing from Events list
  Check the page’s Filters: Category/Tag, Status = Upcoming, Max items, and Date range.

• Visible on Events page but not on homepage
  Homepage module may be set to Featured only or a different Category.

• Still not visible after republish
  Confirm you’re editing Production, not Staging. Purge cache and hard-refresh the browser.

• Time looks right but event is treated as past
  Site timezone mismatch—align event time to the site’s timezone.

FAQs

• How long do changes take to appear?
  Usually within a few minutes after publish; caching/CDN can extend this slightly.

• Can I show past events?
  Yes—ensure the Events page/module includes Past/Archive in its filter.
